"The Lost Leprechaun" by Rachel

Willy was a leprechaun. He was supposed to be going to the potters house to play a mean trick for st.Patrick's day. There was a bad mistake though. Willy was where he was supposed to be,but he was lost in the house. He had tried everything he knew of to get out of the house,he had tried disappearing but he could only get to other parts of the house. He had tried to multiply himself so he could look for an exit, but one of himself had gotten eaten by a gray cat by the name of misty. He had also tried to go out a window in a yellow and green room only to fall off the windowsill and get lost in a maze of toys. Now he was trying to squeeze under the door when he heard giant rumbling footsteps and the smack of flip flops. Here's my chance thought willy on three, one, two, three, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, slam the door had shut and willy had not made it. SMACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he skidded to a halt to find that he had run face first into the door. Man thought willy I will never get out of this place. Willy had a bump on his head the size of a small baby carrot. When he heard the door open from the outside he braced himself to run,but found that it was just a door to a room. If anybody wants to know how willy was surviving,he was living off of the refrigerator and the pantry. In desperation willy thought of another way to get out. He found a piece of paper and wrote there he thought, and he stuck the letter on the girls pillow and waited.$*$*$*$*$*$*$*That night after a not very pleasant chapter of Harry potter and the deathly hallows he went up into the girls bed and waited. 5 minutes later the girl went into the room and saw willy holding the letter. She took it out of his hands and read it. She said hang on a minute mom I have to let a cat out, grabbed willy and ran to the sliding glass door. I am sure I can teleport just outside the screen said willy, and thank you,so willy hopped out of the girls hand and onto the pavement, there he ran over to the screen and disappeared and reappeared just outside of the porch. Then Willy ran off into the night.

"My Black Dragon" by Mark

The black Dragon has a breath weapon like all other Dragons have, but it shoots green acid. It is the foul tempered one of all dragons. It is the most dangerous in the world! Very hard to train they are evil, very strong, and very hard to catch. That is all I know about them.

"Emma's Life" by Rachel

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Run"! Emma the emu was charging through the forest at top speed. It was a hot sunny day. Some brush near where she was grazing caught fire. She could hear the fire raging behind her. As she ran to her home, a jumble of fallen trees and twigs, she announced that they would have to leave the area immediately. Her newly hatched brother and sister, Elsa and Oswald, were running around the nest squeaking in terror. In the forest the fire kept burning, getting closer every minute. "Ok," Emma said, "lets get moving." In no time flat they were racing through the forest, Mama, Papa, Elsa, Oswald, and Emma. Elsa and Oswald safely on Mama's and papa's backs tucked in between their wings. As the family ran through burning brush and fallen logs Emma directed the scared family towards the river. They heard a sound. It sounded like a scared baby emu. When Emma ran towards the sound she discovered a sad baby emu. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". "Aw," Emma said. "Mama," it said. "Come on," Emma said. "Maaa maaa," it said again. Emma picked up the emu. "Waaa, mama." Emma ran towards the river to find her family waiting in the water. "What do you have?" mama asked staring at the smoke stained bundle of feathers. "Found it," Emma replied. "The river is starting to get crowded," Papa said after a while. The baby emu had introduced himself as Eddie. Eddie was even newer hatched than Elsa or Oswald. What papa meant by crowded was that more emus had used the river as a fire escape. Whooosh. Emma, Elsa, Oswald, Eddie, Mama, and papa woke up. They watched as thunder boomed overhead and rain came pouring down drenching the emus. Emma had never been so happy to see rain in her life. Elsa and Oswald had even convinced Eddie to do a rain dance. "Eddie! EDDIE! EDDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" an emu called from somewhere down river. "Mama!" Eddie called. As he Emma, Elsa, and Oswald splashed to the sound they found a pretty emu calling Eddie's name. "Eddie!" she cried and ran over to him. "Hello," Emma said. "We have been taking care of Eddie," she said. "Our home has been burned down," the pretty emu said. "OK," Emma said "You can live with us." The pretty emu introduced herself as Amy and they walked home Emma,Elsa,Oswald,Mama,Papa,Eddie, and Amy all through the steaming forest.

"A Very Good Day" by Mark

I woke up the day after the stinky day. This time I did not have a bad dream. I went to my ladder and went down. I hopped over the sharp Lego and opened my door. I did not slip at all. When mom woke up she made special breakfast. The special breakfast was french toast. At school I got almost every fact right. At dinner I got dessert. I got four chapters of story and went to bed on time. What a good day it was.

"Annoying Elves" by Rachel

Clank, Pop, Crash!!! My castle was almost done except for one thing, it had fallen down again. This had to have been my hundredth try on standing it up. I was covered again with plastic pieces and I was very annoyed. I was standing it up for the hundred and first time. I was finally done with it. I was setting it up so that me and my brother could play with our elves in it. I went over and started to get my elves out. CRASH!!! I had been shoveling them onto the castle and they had knocked it down again. I groaned and started to put them back up . By then my brother had found his elves and was standing over me. He looked very confused. "What are you doing"? he asked. well.......I CANT STAND IT UP AND IT KEEPS FALLING DOWN AND MY ELVES ARE ANNOYING ME!!!!!!!! the end of my explanation, OK? When he understood me after a few minuets he said "I'll help you" Later we had a perfect castle and we were ready to play. I was proud, happy, and VERY relieved to have it standing without a mess. WWWWOOOOHHHHOOOO !!!!!!!

"Mom Has First Say"

So this blog was started because Rachel and Mark kept telling me what to put in MY blog stories. So, here you go; write your own stories! We are going to have the kids post once a week. Rachel gets the first week, Sarah the second week, and so on, until it becomes Rachel's turn again.

Val and I decided to let the kids do this because it would be a great reason for them to write something worth reading. I am going to try to edit as little as possible; I can't speak for Val. Just know, in this case especially, it's the thought that counts!

Since we all love feedback, and it is for the kids, it would be great if you could comment on a story after you've read it. It would mean a lot to the kids; I know comments mean a lot to me!

Our families hope you enjoy this!
